Descendants of Clement Maxfield
of Dorchester, Massachusetts
Ninth Generation

WILLIAM A.9 MAXFIELD (Hiram8, probably John7, perhaps Daniel6, probably Daniel5,4, Ebenezer3, Samuel2, Clement1) was born in Warren, Rhode Island, about 1853/4. According to William's marriage record, his parents were Hiram and Eliza Maxfield. However, as Hiram's first wife was living for six more years after William's birth, I take Eliza to be his step-mother, and that he was a child of Hiram D. Maxfield and his first wife Abby Angell.

William A. Maxfield married EVA LOUSE PARKER in Providence, Rhode Island, on 19 September, 1877 (VR RI M 1877:874). The record of the marriage follows:

Providence, Sep 19 [or 17], 1877
William Angell Maxfield of East Providence, 23, white, plumber, b. Warren to Hiram D. and Eliza K.; 1st;
Eva Louisa Parker of Providence, 22, white, b. Providence to George W. and Caroline, 1st;
by Adolph J. F. Behrends, Congregational pastor
Eva was born in Providence, on 19 August, 1857, according to her death record.

William Maxfield was a plumber, living in East Providence, Rhode Island, according to the birth record of their child in 1880.

The 1880 census (1214:251B) reported this family at East Providence, Rhode Island:
