Descendants of John Maxfield
of Salisbury, Massachusetts
Fourth Generation

THOMAS4 MAXFIELD (Joseph3-2, John1) was born at Weare, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, on 6 October 1784[1] a son of Joseph and Love. He married at Weare on 9 February 1804 MARTHA CLOUGH,[2] who was born probably between 1784 and 1794.

The 1810 census reported this family at Fishersfield, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, composed of a male between 26 and 45, a female between 16 and 25, and three children under 10 - one male and two females.[3] In 1812 they had a daughter born at Bradford, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. I have no further information on this family.

Thomas Maxfield and his wife Martha Clough had the following children:[4]

  1. perhaps (first son)5 MAXFIELD b. bet. 1804 and 1810.
  2. perhaps (first daughter)5 MAXFIELD b. bet. 1804 and 1810.
  3. perhaps (second daughter)5 MAXFIELD b. bet. 1804 and 1810.
  4. BETSEY JONES STANDLEY5 MAXFIELD b. at Bradford on 15 January 1812.[5]
