BURTON GILMAN7 MAXFIELD was born at Starksboro, Addison County, Vermont, on 20 July 1874 a son of Benson Gilman Maxfield and his wife Viola Thompson. He died at Starksboro on 1 March 1946. He married at Starksboro on 6 August 1896 FLORILLA TAFT. She was born at Huntington, Chittenden County, Vermont, on 17 July 1879 and died at Burlington, Chittenden County, on 27 November 1965.

Burton Maxfield and his wife Florilla Taft had the following children:

  1. EARL GILMAN8 MAXFIELD b. at Starksboro on 30 June 1897.
  2. GERTRUDE MAE8 MAXFIELD b. at Hinesburg, Chittenden County, on 2 January 1899; d. at Starksboro on 28 March 1938 ; m. at Starksboro on 20 July 1927 HAROLD CLIFFORD HILL.
  3. HAZEL MAUD8 MAXFIELD b. at Starksboro on 27 February 1901; d. at Starksboro on 13 September 1903.
  4. BURTON GILMAN8 MAXFIELD b. at Starksboro on 5 February 1914; d. at Starksboro on 26 November 1917.
