FRANK C.8 MAXFIELD (Charles7, Caleb6, Zadock5, Edward4, Timothy3-2, John1) was born at 81 Maxfield Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts, on 14 July 1862 (VR Ma 150:126), a son of Charles E. Maxfield and his wife Kate E. Edwards:

Frank C. Maxfield married ELIZABETH MURPHY, who was born at Chicopee, Massachusetts, on 18 September 1869, to John C. Murphy, who was born at Ireland, and Mary A. McTaggart, who was born at Scotland (her death record).

On the birth records of his children, Frank C. Maxfield was called a salesman in 1888 and a furniture dealer in 1889. The lived at 66 Patton Street, Springfield.

The 1900 Census (652:5B) reported Frank and Lizzie at 396 Main Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. Frank was born in July 1863, Lizzie his wife in September 1870, and Mary L., their daughter, in August 1889. Frank was a bicycle dealer; he and Lizzie had been married thirteen years; and she had two children, one living.

The 1910 census (592:1:82B) reported this family at 123 Francis Street, Springfield:

Elizabeth died at Springfield on 24 November 1911 (MA D), from parenchymatous nephritis. She was a dress maker.

The 1920 Census reported Frank, a widower, living with his mother at 10 Sumner Street, Springfield. The 1930 census reported Frank and his mother Kate twice, at 10 Simmons Avenue, Springfield. Frank was described as a packer of dry goods on one listing, a crater of furniture on the other.

Frank and Elizabeth Maxfield had the following children:
