He was commonly called "Bud." Lawrence served in the U. S. Navy during World War II, according to his grave marker.

Lawrence Maxfield married JUANITA GALLUP (Ferguson).

Lawrence Maxfield died at Sidney, Montcalm County, Michigan, on 4 January 1986 (MI D, Evergreen Cem, SSDI).
