ROY A.8 MAXFIELD was born at Richfield, Genesee County, Michigan, on 19 February 1893 a son of Norman Maxfield and his firstwife Mary Paterson. He died at Flint, Genesee County, on 7 December 1937. He married at Flint on 23 July 1920 GRACE W. SHARPE. She was born at Beulah, Benzie County, Michigan, about 1894/5 and died at Richfield on 1 April 1940.

Roy Maxfield and his wife Grace Sharpe had the following children:

  1. MARY JEAN9 MAXFIELD b. at Genesee Co. on 19 October 1921; m. at Sandusky Co., OH, on 6 February 1943 JOHN M. WELCH.
  2. CAROL JOYCE9 MAXFIELD b. at Michigan abt. November 1926; m. at Genesee Co. on 21 June 1944 JAY B. HOWLETT.
