RUFUS ATWOOD9 MAXFIELD Jr. (Rufus8, Arthur7, Jared6, Stephen5, Amos4, perhaps Joseph3, Joseph2, John1), was born at Massachusetts on 2 June 1923 (SSDI), a child of Rufus Atwood Maxfield, Sr., and his wife Louise Bertha Dupuis.

His first wife is remembered as NONNIE ________ (Tiffany Maxfield). His second wife GERTRUDE MARIE ELDRIDGE, was born on 18 February 1926. They married probably some time before 1943. They divorced some time before his third marriage. Rufus Atwood Maxfield, Jr., married for the third time, at El Paso County, Texas, on 28 August 1990, MILDRED J. COLLINS (Tx M), who was born about 1837/8.

Rufus Maxfield served in the Army in World War II. His enlistment record (WWII Enl) follows:

Rufis Maxfield died on 27 February 1998 (SSDI), his last residence was Surprise, Maricopa County, Arizona.
