WILLIAM W.8 MAXFIELD

was born at Barrington, Rhode Island, on 18 February 1823 (VR RI 6:Barr:33; RI GR 18:15), a child of James Maxfield and his wife Ann Eliza Watson. William W. Maxfield married at Providence, RI, on 6 January 1851 (1900 census) PHEBE ANN TAYLOR, who was born in Rhode Island on 19 August 1832 (RI GR 18:15).
The 1880 census (1212:516A) reported the William Maxfield family at Providence, Rhode Island:

The 1900 census (1508:1:140) found this family at 88 Green Street, Providence. William, born February 1822, was a carpenter; Phebe A., born August 1831, had only one child, who was living; son Walter A., born in Rhode Island in July 1852, still single, was a piano tuner. William and Phebe had been married 50 years.
Phebe Maxfield died in Rhode Island on 7 November, 1901 (RI GR 18:15; RI Cem). William died in Rhode Island on 21 July, 1903 (RI GR 18:15; RI Cem). They were both buried at Prince's Hill Burial Ground, Barrington.
William and Phebe Maxfield had the following child:
