GEORGE HARRISON⁷ MAXFIELD was born at Loudon, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, on 8 April 1867 a son of Oliver Maxfield and his wife Sabrina Towle. He died at Concord, Merrimack County, on 31 March 1927. He married first at Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, on 19 May 1888 TESSA M. PAYNE. She was born at Weld, Franklin County, Maine, on 7 May 1870 and died at Manchester on 12 September 1906. He married second at Manchester on 11 January 1908 SUSAN GLEN MARSHALL. She was born at Belfast, Ireland, about 1873. They were divorced at Hillsborough County on 1 February 1926.

George H. Maxfield and his first wife Tessa Payne had the following children:

2. FORREST⁸ MAXFIELD b. at Manchester on 16 April 1903; d. at Manchester on 18 April 1903.
