ERNEST PAYNE8 MAXFIELD was born at Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, on 28 July 1895 a son of George Harrison Maxfield and his first wife Tessa Payne. He died at Nobleton, Hernando County, Florida, on 12 March 1977. He married at South Royalton, Windsor County, Vermont, on 19 February 1925 FLORENCE ISABELLE McGUIRE. She was born at Fairfield, Franklin County, Vermont, on 4 February 1900 and died at Gwinnett County, Georgia, on 7 April 1987.

Ernest Payne Maxfield and his wife Florence McGuire had the following children:

  1. ROBERT ERNEST9 MAXFIELD b. at Manchester on 25 May 1925.
  2. RICHARD ALLEN9 MAXFIELD b. at Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, on 25 January 1931; d. at New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, on 20 June 1984; m. before 1958 JEAN HOLLANDER; div. before 1968; partner by 1970 MARK EASTMAN.
