GEORGE F.⁷ MAXFIELD was born at Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, on 10 November 1856 a son of Andrew Maxfield and his first wife Anne Brown. He died at Wolcott, Lamoille County, Vermont, on 29 February 1940. He first married at Wolcott on 19 March 1876 CLIMINA A. JONES. She was born at Wolcott about 1858/9. They divorced at Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, on September 1880. He second married at Manchester, Hillsborough County, on 25 October 1880 SARAH ELVIRA BURROUGHS. She was born at Bow, Merrimack County, on 27 September 1857 and died at Concord on 29 July 1843. They divorced before 1920.

George Maxfield and his second wife Sarah Burroughs had the following children:

4. ROY BURROUGHS⁸ MAXFIELD b. at Londonderry on 3 September 1894; d. at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, on 13 June 1936.
