FRED GRANT⁷ MAXFIELD was born at Holyoke, Hampden County, Massachusetts, on 2 July 1862, a son of Arthur Maxfield and his wife Orissa Anderson. He died at Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, on 19 September 1947. He married at Winchester, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, on 20 November 1886 CAROLINE R. CLARK. She was born at Hinsdale, Cheshire County, on 1868 and died on 1932.

Fred Maxfield and his wife Caroline Clark had the following children:

4. MARJORIE M.⁸ MAXFIELD b. at Winchester on 5 August 1891; d. at Springfield, Hampden Co., on 30 October 1955.
