BENJAMIN T.7 MAXFIELD (Abraham6-5, Edmund4, Timothy3-2, John1) was born at Dartmouth, Massachusetts, on 28 January 1857 (VR Ma 105:118), a child of Abraham S. T. Maxfield and his wife Abby King.

Benjamin T, Maxfield married ELVIRA M. SHERMAN at Fall River, Massachusetts, on 15 July 1879 (VR FR(H) 1879:9:12:176), recorded as follows:

Elvira Sherman was born at Fall River on 7 December 1860 (from death record), a child of Charles and Caroline Sherman.

The 1880 Census (524:274B) reported Benjamin Maxfield, teamster, in Fall River, and called his wife "Clara." The 1900 Census reported this family twice (1505:1:345 and 1505:1:332A) in Tiverton, Rhode Island, one of which follows:

The record also indicated that Clara had one child, none living. Clara Maxfield died at Cranston, Rhode Island, on 3 February 1915 (RI D).

Benjamin Maxfield was reported in the 1930 Census (2170:10B) at Tiverton. A 73 year old widower, he was descirbed as master pilot of a steam vessel. Benjamin died at Tiverton on 11 May 1933 (RI D).

Benjamin Maxfield and his wife Elvira "Clara" Sherman had the following child:
