Under "number of years married" Luther reported 20, Lavina 13. These figures make sense if they are years since their first marriages. Lavina had one child, who was living. Walter Osgood must have been a younger bgrother of Estella Osgood, or Nettie Osgood, or both.

The main problem in identifying the Luther of this family with the Luther son of Albert is the age. This census and the 1930 census indicate a birth ten years later than the 1860, 1870, 1880 and 1900 censuses. However the birth state is correct. We can only say that probably the Luther of this family is Luther son of Albert.
The 1930 census (1239:12B) reported this family at 4648 Page Avenue, Saint Louis, Missouri. Luther, age 68, first married at age 21, was a salesman of household furniture. Josephine was first married at age 24. His step-granddaughter Etha Swafford, age 16, was a bus girl at a restaurant.
