EDGAR ORLANDO⁷ MAXFIELD was born at Michigan on 14 November 1849 a son of Levi Maxfield and his wife Carloine Campbell. He died at Highland, Oakland County, Michigan, on 29 October 1913. He married at Oakland County on 16 December 1885 LOUISA ELIZA PRESTON. She was born at Michigan on 12 September 1868 and died on 24 July 1968.

Edgar Orlando Maxfied and his wife Louisa Eliza Preston had the following children:

3. BESSIE J.⁸ MAXFIELD b. at Tyrone, Livingston Co., MI, on 23 October 1898; d. at Detroit on 20 September 1947; m. (1) at Detroit on 23 August 1920 WILLIAM J. BROWN; ; m. (2) aft. 1940 WAYMAN McCAMY.
