His second wife, LOUISE (----) BOIVER, was born at Pennsylvania about 1870 (1920 census) and had previously been married. The 1910 census (1624:5B) reported William R. and Louise Maxfield living at Eden Precinct, Clallam County, Washington. William R., 51, was a saw filer. Louise, 41, had six children, all living. This was the second marriage for both. The household also included Louise's daughter, Geneva Boiver, age 4, and William's widowed mother, Catherine, age 73.
The 1910 census also reported Everette C. Maxfield, divorced, age 49, living with her daughter and son-in-law, Gladys M. and Howard D. Horton, at 2623 Washington Street, Seattle, Washington. Howard and Gladys had been married four years. Howard, age 29, was a self-employed miner; Gladys was 27. Everette was listed as a servant, cook.
