IRA H.7 MAXFIELD (William6, Ira5, Joshua4-3, Joseph2, John1) was born at New York on October 1871 (1900 census), a child of William H. and Mary Maxfield.

Ira H. Maxfield married MAUD B. GOODRO about 1899. Maud was born at Vermont about January 1881 (1900 census). The 1900 census (1694:11A) reported Ira and some of his extended family together at Fair Haven, Vermont:

This record also indicated that Ira and Maud had been married one year, Maud had no children, and Mary came to America in 1850. The 1910 census (1616:9A) reported Ira and Maud and family settled at Brandon, Vermont:

Maud reported having four children, three of whom were living.

The 1920 census (1874:16A) reported this family at Walnut Street, Brandon, consisting of Ira H., 42, Maude U., 39, Reba V., 15, Elga M., 14, Lila E., 10, and Ruth M., four years and eight months. Ira had his own barber shop.

The 1930 census (2430:) reported the family at 22 Walnut street, Brandon, consisting of Ira H., 58, Maud V., 49, Lila M., 21, and Ruth V., 12. Ira continued to have his own barbershop. Ira and Maud were married at the ages of 27 and 18 respectively. According to this record, Maud's parents were born in Canada.

Ira H. Maxfield died at Stamford, Connecticut, on 31 October 1956, a resident of New Canaan, Connecticut, 85 years old (Ct D). The death record referred to his spouse as Maud.
