ORAL JOHN8 MAXFIELD was born at Stanstead, Stanstead County, Quebec, on 15 January 1888, a son of Truman Maxfield and his wife Malissa McGaffey. He was buried at Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke County, Quebec, on 21 August 1964. He married at Newport, Orleans County, Vermont, on 5 July 1915 GERTRUDE MAUD NILES. She was born at Newport about 1883/4 and was buried at Sherbrooke on 17 May 1944.

Oral John Maxfield and his wife Gertrude Niles had the following children:

  1. MARION9 MAXFIELD b. at Little Boston, Quebec, about 1914/5; m. at Alburg, Grand Isle Co., VT, on 3 June 1938 JAMES SHEDRICK.
  2. GLADYS9 MAXFIELD b. on 1919; d. on 2004; m. JAMES DAVIS.
  3. GORDON9 MAXFIELD b. on 3 October 1916; m. WINONA ________.
  4. PERCY TRUMAN9 MAXFIELD b. on 1925.
