George Frederick MaxfieldThe 1920 Census (686:6A) reported George, Alice, and their children Linden and Hilda, living with Alice's parents at New Bedford. Arthur Linden, age 66, was born in Ireland, came to America in 1868, received citizenship in 1894, and was employed as a stationary engineer at a mill. Hannah S. Linden, age 68, was born in Sweden, came to America in 1872, and received citizenship in 1890. George F. Maxfield, their son-in-law, age 44, was a hardware salesman. Alice Maxfield, their daughter, age 39, was born in Rhode Island. The Linden's grandchildren, Linden and Hilda Maxfield, were ages 14 and 11.

George F. Maxfield died at Saint Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, on 21 January 1936, age 60 years, 7 months and 15 days. His last residence was 185 Sycamore Street, New Bedford (Oak Gr Cem QQ-42). He was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery on 23 January 1936. Alice S. Maxfield died at Lawrence, Massachusetts, on 20 June 1964, age 80, her last residence was Wilmington, Massachusetts (Oak Gr Cem QQ-42). She was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery on June 24, 1964.
