WILLIAM JAY SEDGWICK8 MAXFIELD was born at Potsdam, Saint Lawrence County, New York, on 30 April 1869 a son of Samuel Maxfield and his first wife Martha Crandall. He died at Potsdam on 14 October 1951. He married at Multnomah County, Oregon, on 27 March 1910 RUBY BELLE (CRAWFORD) McCONNELL. She was born at Portland, Multnomah County, on 1 December 1880 and died at Westmoreland, Oneida County, New York, on 8 December 1971. She had previously married about 1900/1 HENRY McCONNELL.

William Maxfield and his wife Ruby Crawford had the following child:

  1. MARGARET CRANDALL9 MAXFIELD b. at Potsdam on 8 June 1912; d. at Jacksonville, Duval Co., FL, on 1999; m. at Volusia Co., FL, on 1936 GORDON CRAWFORD REEVES.
