FRANK JOHN8 MAXFIELD (Eugene7, Philo6, probably Henry5, David4, Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Ohio on 18 April 1874 (WWI Draft), a child of Eugene C. Maxfield and his wife Margarette M. Hutton. The 1900 census (127:1:134A) reported Frank J. Maxfield at Main Street, Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, a lodger in the home of Peter and Jessie Smith. Frank, born at Ohio on April 1874, was a brakeman for the railriad.

Frank J. Maxfield married NORA MAY SMITH about 1900/1 (1910 census; 1904 in 1930 census). Nora was born at Kansas on 27 December 1882 (SSDI).

The 1910 census reported this family at 5920 North "M" Street, Tacoma, Washington:

Frank and Nora had been married nine years; Nora had three children, all living. Judging from the birth states of their children, this family moved from Colorado to Wahington sometime between 1903 and 1905.
