Cora (Dickerson) Maxfield died at Grinnell, Iowa, on 12 June 1895 (WCP). Fred Maxfield married as his second wife MARTHA M. (________) LINGAFELT about 1899/1900 (1910 census). She was born at Pennsylvania about 1854, and had married (about 1882 according to the 1930 census) a man surnamed Lingafelt. They had a daughter, Martha, born about 1879/80 at Pennsylvania.
The 1910 census (843:3:137A) reported Fred, his new wife and stepdaughter, at 2212 Burdette Street, Omaha, Nebraska:
