GEORGE DEXTER8 MAXFIELD (George7, Oren6, Eliphalet5, Nathaniel4, Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Toulon, Illinois, on 17 July 1870 (NMGR 7:94), the only surviving son of George Clark and Cynthia C. (Parrish) Maxfield.
George Maxfield married at Toulon on 10 October 1894 PLESSE JOHNSON (IL M; NMGR 7:94), daughter of Peyton and Jane (Brown) Johnson. Plesse was born at Illinois on October 1869 (1900 Census)
The 1900 Census (863:1:258) found this family boarding with Francis and Elizabeth Kelley at 119 Park Street, Kansas City, Missouri:

George Dexter Maxfield died at Kansas City on 11 July 1903 (NMGR 7:94), and was buried at Fairmount, Nebraska (NMGR 7:94).
George's widow, Plesse Maxfield, married, secondly, CURTIS MESSERSMITH (NMGR 7:94), of Kankakee, Illinois.
George and Plesse Maxfield had the following child:
