GUY WALDO8 MAXFIELD (Oscar7, Josiah6, James5, Nathaniel4, Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Godfrey Township, Madison County, Illinois, on 16 February 1885 (Ca D; NMGR 7:96), a child of Oscar Waldo Maxfield and his wife Amelia Albon.

JOSIE MYRRL MORSE married Guy Waldo Maxfield at Boise, Ada County, Idaho, on 2 September 1916 (Western M). Josie was born in Iowa about 1884 (1920 census). Guy Maxfield was living in Gem County, Idaho, when he registered for the draft in 1917. (WWI Draft)

The 1920 census (291:6B) reported the following family at 102 Blaine Street, Emmett, Gem County, Idaho:

Guy W. Maxfield married as his second wife MYRTLE K. TYNER about 1925 (1930 census). Myrtle was born in Missouri on 3 July 1893. (AZ VR).

According to Wright (NMGR 7:96), Guy Waldo Maxfield was a business accountant living at Godfrey, Illinois in 1929. It seems unlikely that the Guy Maxfield who moved west was briefly so employed back in Illinois. Either this researcher has inaccurately attributed western records to the Guy Maxfield from Illinois, or Wright was in error.

The 1930 Census (118:4A) reported the following family at 398 Fifth Street, Coalinga, Fresno County, California:
