Abraham Maxfield married CORA M. PIPER at Pittsfield on 20 December 1884 (Pierson; Ken Maxfield). She was born at Maine on April 1864 (1900 census).

The 1910 census (546:1:133A) reported this household at Palmyra, consisting of Abraham L. Maxfield, 47, farmer on home farm, Cora M., wife, 46, and Meredith L., daughter, 19, telephone girl at the central office.
The 1920 census (648:7A) reported an "empty nest" family at Palmyra, of Abraham L. Maxfield, 56, farmer, and wife Cora M., 55.
Abraham Lincoln Maxfield died in 1927 (NMGR 8:20; Pierson). The 1930 census (839:) reported widow Cora M. Maxfield, 65, on Leavitt Road, Palmyra.
