JAMES HENRI8 MAXFIELD (Moses7, James6, Eliphalet5-4-3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Pittsfield, Somerset County, Maine, on 5 November 1870 (Ida D; Pierson), a child of Moses Maxfield and his wife Asenath Smith.

James Henri Maxfield and MINTA LUELLA BOWERMAN were married at Corral, Logan County, Utah, on 25 January 1892 (Pierson). Minta was born at Kewanee, Henry County, Illinois, on 25 January 1867, a child of James Cornelius Bowerman and Mahalia Cheever (date from Ida D; place from rootsweb WCP). Minta had previously married JOHN COMBS at Central City, Meerick County, Nebraska, on 4 July 1883. (rootsweb WCP). They had four children.

The 1900 Census (232:1:125A) reported Minta Maxfield at Canal Precinct, Blaine County, Idaho, with her parents and children from two marriages:
