James Clifford Maxfield married LEILA BESSIE BURNHAM on 18 August 1935 (Ferguson). Leila was born on 16 June 1915 (SSDI).

James Clifford Maxfield died at Reed City, Osceola County, Michigan, on 10 February 1982 (MI D; SSDI). Leila died on 22 December 1998, a resident of the same city (SSDI).
