EARL FRANCIS9 MAXFIELD was born at Plainfield, Washington County, Vermont, on 24 November 1911 a son of Elmer Maxfield and his wife Emma Woodcock. He died at East Montpelier, Washington County, Vermont, on 12 May 1995. He married at Plainfield on 22 June 1940 ESTHER MAY PALMER. She was born at Williamstown, Orange County, on 7 September 1914 and died at Montpelier, Washington County, on 31 March 1983.

Earl Maxfield and his wife Esther Palmer had the following child:

  1. GLORIA JEAN10 MAXFIELD b. at Barre, Washington County, on 14 July 1941; m. at Montpelier on 2 September 1961 CHARLES LOISELLE COLLINS Jr..
