ROBERT D.9 MAXFIELD was born at Iowa on 30 March 1929, a son of Edward Maxfield and his wife Pearl Bowser. He married at Waverly, Bremer County, Iowa, on 2 December 1953 PHYLLIS RUTH PAVELEC. She was born at Tripoli, Bremer County, on 28 March 1932 and died at Waverly on 12 August 2007.

Robert Maxfield and his wife Phyllis Pavalec had the following children:

  1. JANET LEA10 MAXFIELD b. on 18 June 1954; m. (1) on 2 December 1972 LARRY D. NOLTE. They were divorced on 2001. She m. (2) at Waverly on 23 May 1909 SUSAN KAY LAHR, one of the first same sex couples to be married at Bremer Co., her name is now Janet Lahr.
  2. Dr. KAREN KAY10 MAXFIELD b. on 31 March 1957; m. on 24 November 1979 BRUCE PAUL WOLF.
