Carrie (Deth) Maxfield died at Nashua, New Hampshire, on 2 May 1927 (NH D). According to the death record she died form carcinoma of the liver at Saint Joseph Hospital, where she had been for seven weeks. Her residence before that, and her burial place, were at Antrim, New Hampshire.
At the time of the 1930 census the three daughters had dispersed. Dorothy, 21, was a student nurse in Hartford, Connecticut; Ida, 19, was a maid in a home in Albany County, New York, and Carrie, 18, was living with a cousin's family in Somerville, Massachusetts. Jonathan continued as a patient at the Worcester State Hospital. He was still living at Worcester at the time of daughter Dorothy's wedding in 1941.

Carol Corrina Totte, 88
Carol Corrina Totte, 88, of New Marblehead Manor, died Friday at a Portland hospital.
She was born in New Bedford, Mass., a daughter of Jonathan and Carrie Deth Maxfield.
Mrs. Totte was a member of Gray Senior Citizens. She was a reader, solved crossword puzzles and attended the sports activities of her grandchildren.
Her first husband, Arthur F. McKee, died in 1959. Her second husband, Frank Totte, died in 1988.
Surviving are one daughter, Linda McKee Eastman of Windham; one stepson, David Totte of Shapleigh; one stepdaughter, Eleanor Holtzer of Walnut Port, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Adam and Jill Eastman, both of Windham.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the North Windham Union Church with the Rev. Dr. Charles Hume officiating.
