The 1910 census (285:10A) reported this family at 508 Grant Street, Sycamore, DeKalb County, Illinois:

That record also indicated it was a first marriage for both William and Daisy, and they had been married six years.

Some time after that census, and before the birth of a child in 1919, this family moved to Los Angeles County, California. The 1920 Census (119:10A:22-26) reported this family at 6517 Miranionto Boulevard, San Antonio Township, Los Angeles County, California. The family consisted of William N., 37, a general mechanic, wife Daisy E., 34, son Ralph D., 13, daughter Joyce E., 10, and Son Billie A., two months. The 1930 census (153:17A) reported this family at 4121 61st Street, Los Angeles:

William Nelson Maxfield died at Los Angeles County on 21 January 1954 (CA D). Widow Daisy Maxfield married ______ SCHADT. Daisy died on 22 February, 1960 (Press-Tel, 22 Freb 1960, p. 20).
