FRANK B.9 MAXFIELD (Leander8, Albert7, James6, William5, David4, Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa on 6 January 1878 (WWI Draft, Dewell), a child of Leander Maxfield and his second wife Lovilla Thomas. Frank had moved with his family to Kansas by the time he was two. They had returned to Iowa by the time he was sixteen. The 1895 Iowa census reported Frank Maxfield, age 17, at Clayton Township, Taylor County, Iowa (IA Cen 1895).

Frank B. Maxfield married FLORENCE CATHERINE CAMPBELL at Athelstan, Taylor County on 2 October 1901 (IA M). Florence was born at Taylor County on 28 July 1879 (Dewell), a child of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Campbell.

After marriage, the young couple moved to Washington, where Frank had a job at a lumber mill. At some point they returned to Iowa, where their first two children were born in 1905 and 1908. The 1910 census (1674:9B) reported them at Blaine, Whatcom County, Washington:

This record also stated that Frank and Florence had been married eight years, and that Florence had two children, both living.

By 1915 they had moved to Idaho, where their next child was born. Frank Maxfield registered for the draft at Boise, Idaho, in 1918, and reported the following (WWI Draft):

The 1920 Census (287:7A) reported the family at Ustick, Ada County, Idaho. Frank B. Maxfield, 40, was a farmer. His wife, Florence C., was 38. The children were Day C., 14, Madge M., 11, and Howland B, four years and eight months. The 1930 census (395:10A) reported this family at 1613 18th Street, Boise:

According to this record Frank and Florence were aged 23 and 22 respectively at marriage.

Frank B. Maxfield died on 8 July 1957 (Morris Hill Cem). Florence died at Boise on 7 April 1961 (Morris Hill Cem).

Frank B. Maxfield and his wife Florence Catherine Campbell had the following children:
