Arthur Maxfield, 34, was a blacksmith at tin mines, wifer Madge was 36, son Gale W. Maxfield was 11. The 1930 Census (1205:4B) found Arthur and Madge at the same address. He was 50, she 46. He worked as a blacksmith for Keystone Drillers. Son Gayle had moved to Los Angeles, California, where he lived with an aunt and uncle, Ethel and Frank Denton, and worked as a salesman for a retain ice company.

Arthur and Madge Maxfield probably followed their son to California, as both died at Los Angeles County. Arthur died on 20 January 1947 (CA D), Madge on 21 May 1975 (CA D; SSDI).
