CLARENCE ELLSWORTH9 MAXFIELD (William Franklin8, W. Frederick7, David6, perhaps Isaac5, David4, Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Dannebrog, Howard County, Nebraska, on 13 June 1888 (WWI Draft), a child of William Franklin Maxfield and his wife Katie Pierce. When Clarence's parents divorced, Clarence stayed with his mother. When she remarried, in 1904, Clarence moved with her to her new home at Berrien County, Michigan, where he was reported in the 1910 census.
Clarence Ellsworth Maxfield married MABEL C. SUTHERLAND at Saint Joseph, Berrien County, Michigan, on 8 January 1913 (MI M). She was 22 years old, the daughter of Rufus and Metias Sutherland. Mabel was born at Michigan on 10 September 1889 (MI D)

Mabel (Sutherland) Maxfield, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, died on 16 January 1973 (MI D).
