LEROY9 MAXFIELD (Harry8, William7, David6, possibly Isaac5, David4, Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Arkansas on 28 May 1903 (SSDI; CA D), a child of Harry Charles Maxfield and his wife Victoria May Colbert. Leroy grew up with his family in northeastern Arkansas. The 1920 census reported him with his mother and stepfather at Miller Township, Seminole County, Oklahoma.
Leroy Maxfield married FRANKIE MAE REECE about 1925. Frankie was born at Oklahoma on 17 November 1906 (SSDI). They were reported in the 1930 Census (1897:5A) at Cleveland Township, Cimarron County, Oklahoma:

Leroy and Frankie were married at the ages of 22 and 19 respectively.
The Leroy Maxfield family must have lived in Texas for some time, as they had children born there in 1929, 1936, 1939 and 1941. Leroy Maxfield's life came to an end at Tulare County, California, on 15 March 1971 (CA D; SSDI). His last residence was Visalia, Tulare County, and he was buried at Visalia Cemetery (Visalia Cem). Frankie Maxfield died at Lamb County, Texas, on 13 October 1984 (SSDI; TX D). Her last residence was Amherst, Lamb County, Texas. She was buried in California at Visalia Cemetery (Visalia Cem).
