ROBERT WAYNE9 MAXFIELD was born at Waterville, Lamoille County, Vermont, on 26 February 1923 a son of Wayne Maxfield and his wife Edith Shover. He died at Waterville on 24 July 2002. He married before 1950 VIRGINIA MAE BUTLER. She was born at Johnson, Lamoille County, on 14 January 1931 and died at Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont, on 5 August 1985.

Robert Maxfield and his wife Virginia Butler had the following children:

  1. ROBERTA GENE10 MAXFIELD b. at Morristown, Lamoille Co., on 1 February 1950; d. at Saint Johnsbury, Caledonia Co., VT, on 16 August 1987; m. (1) at Lyndon, Caledonia Co., on 8 April 1971 DAVID RALPH BEAN; m. (2) at Saint Johnsbury on 10 July 1976 MAURICE JOHN SANBORN.
  2. EDWARD DENNIS10 MAXFIELD b. at Morrisville on 27 June 1952.
  3. JAMES MICHAEL10 MAXFIELD b. at Saint Albans, Franklin Co., VT, on 29 December 1954.
  4. ROGER WAYNE10 MAXFIELD b. at Burlington on 7 July 1959.
  5. RAYMOND EARL10 MAXFIELD b. at Burlington on 7 July 1959.
