Wesley Heare of South Orange, New Jersey, formerly of Oakland, California. The groom was described in the marriage notice in the newspaper as the son of Mr + Mrs. J. C. Maxfield, of 461 Bellevue Avenue, Oakland, "one of the rising young businessmen of Oakland" and a University of California man" (Oak Trib 18 Nov 1934, p. 21).

William Edward Maxfield died at Contra Costa County, California, on 2 July 1986 (CA D; SSDI).
