DONALD FRANCIS9 MAXFIELD (Abner8, James7-6, Eliphalet5-4-3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Guilford, Piscataquis County, Maine on 18 September 1894 (WWI Draft; Fl D; SSDI), a child of Abner Ralph Maxfield and his second wife Nellie. Donald was reported twice in the 1910 census: (1) with his parents at Abbott, Maine; (2) with his grandparents (545:2:163B), Erastus Hussey, 76, and Frances S. Hussey, 65, on Water Street, Guilford, Maine.

Donald Maxfield and FREDA B. TITCOMB married in Maine on 30 December 1916. They were both residents of Guilford, Maine (VR Me M). Freda was born in Maine on 1 April 1897 (SSDI).

Donald Francis Maxfield reported for the draft at Piscataquis County on 5 June 1917 (WWI Draft) and reported the following:

The 1930 census reported the family still at Guilford, ages 34, 33, and 12. Donald had the same job. Freda's birth state was reported as Massachusetts.

Donald Maxfield died at Pinellas County, Florida, on 31 October 1970, but his residence was recorded as Guilford, Maine (Fl D; SSDI). His widow Freda died at Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, on 25 January 1987, although her residence was given as Brookline, New Hampshire (VR Me D; SSDI).
