CONRAD - James R. "Tiny" Maxfield, 84, formerly of Marshalltown, currently residing at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad, died there March 23, 2005.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow services at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, with full military honors provided by V.F.W. Harry C. Harter Post 839. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, where his family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed in his name to his family. James is survived by his wife Bessie of Conrad; his daughter Brenda (John) Wardman of Schuyler, Neb.; his two sons, Alan (Jennifer) Maxfield and Steve Maxfield both of Marshalltown; two sisters, Ruth Benbow and Doris Maxfield, both of Marshalltown; eight grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
