JAMES N.4 MAXFIELD (John3-2, William1) was born in New Jersey on December 1885 (1900 census), a child of John F. Maxfield and his wife Caroline Todd.

James Maxfield married about 1918 MIMSEY B., who was born in Massachusetts on 26 February 1895 (SSDI).

The 1920 census (1028:4B) reported this family at 13 Berkley Heights Park, Bloomfield, New Jersey. James N. Maxfield, age 34, was an osteopathic doctor. His wife Mimsey B. was age 24. They had one son, John F. Maxfield, nine months old. Thana Wuhittch, a 52 year old maid born in Germany completed the household.
