ERNEST CHESTER7 MAXFIELD was born at Newport, Orleans County, Vermont, on 22 December 1872 a son of James Maxfield and his wife Charlancy Daggett. He died at Newport on 8 June 1921. He married at Newport on 7 June 1892 MARGARET ALBERT TREPANIA. She was born at Canada on 8 June 1866 and died at the Town of Newport on 4 November 1917.

Ernest Maxfield and his wife Margaret Trepania had the following children:

  1. RAYMOND ERNEST8 MAXFIELD b. at Newport on 24 May 1896.
  2. GERALD JAMES8 MAXFIELD b. at Newport on 15 November 12908; d. at Newport on 18 November 1980 ; m. at Newport on 14 October 1948 BERTHA ROSE GOSSELIN.
