The 1910 census (704:2:209A) found J. F. and Genie E. Maxfield at 2618 Polk Street, Minneapolis. He was 30, she 29, both born at Wisconsin. They had been married four years, she had one child, none living.

The 1930 census (2606:) reported a family at Plover composed of John F. Maxfield, 50, wife Jennie F., 49, and son Jack, 14. "John" and Jennie were both 25 years old at marriage. John was listed as a sawyer (could this be a misreading of "surveyor"?) for the county and general.
Jennie Maxfield died in 1955 (Plover Cem); Julien died at Stevens Point, wisconsin, on 13 May 1959 (Wi D). Both were buried in Plover Cemetery, Plover, Wisconsin.
