FRANK MINER8 MAXFIELD (Lyman7, Gilbert6, William5, David4, probably Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Georgia, Vermont, on 21 May 1854 (Georgia Families, year in Georgia Cem 257, approximate year and date in 1860 census, place from marriage record) a child of Lyman Maxfield and his wife Sally Laflin.

Within four months of Frank's birth, his father died. Frank was reported with his mother in the 1860 census, with his brother Abel in the 1870 and 1880 censuses.

Frank Maxfield married MARY ANN SMITH at Georgia on 21 July 1880 (VR Georgia 190). He was a farmer, age 26, born and living in Georgia. She was born at Vermont on August 1860, child of William and Sarah Smith (1900 census, year in Georgia Cem 257).

The Frank Maxfield family was reported in the 1900 census (1692:1:129A) at Georgia, Vermont, as follows:

Frank and Mary had been married 20 years; Mary had three children, all living.

In 1910 the census (1614:2:135A) again reported this family at Georgia, with only one household listed between Frank and his borther Abel:

The record also stated that Frank and Mary had neither been previously married, they had been married 30 years, and Mary had three children, all living. Flora had been married nine years, and had one child, living. The Smiths had not been previously married, and had been married 55 years.

Mary Ann (Smith) Maxfield died at Georgia on 5 May 1915 (VT D), and was buried at Hope Cemetery, Georgia. Frank Miner Maxfield died at Georgia on 15 February 1916 of tuberculosis at age 61 (VR Georgia 190; Georgia Cem 257), and was buried at East Plains Cemetery, Georgia, on the 17th (VR Georgia 190).
