LYMAN H.7 MAXFIELD (Gilbert6, William5, David4, probably Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Georgia, Vermont, in 1811 (Georgia Cem 257), a child of
Gilbert Belcher Maxfield and his wife Amelia Graves.
Lyman Maxfield married SALLY LAFLIN at Georgia on 30 January 1834 (VR Georgia 190). Sally was born at Georgia on 25 February 1813, a child of Abel and Patty Laflin (or Laughlin), according to her death record.
The 1840 Census (542:240) reported the household of Lyman Maxwell of Georgia, consisting of a male-female couple in their 30s, a girl between five and ten, and two girls under 5. This corresponds to the information we have on the family from other sources.
The 1850 census reported the Lyman Maxfield family at Georgia, on two separate pages (Franklin Co. 20,22); the differences are indicated below with slash marks:

Frank, a child of Lyman and Sally, was born within five months before his father's death. Smith Maxfield was a child of Charlotte Maxfield.
Sally was reported in the household of her son, Abel Maxfield, in the 1870 and 1880 censuses. She died of pneumonia at Georgia on 9 February 1899 (VR Georgia 190; Georgia Cem 257), aged 85 years, 11 months and 12 days.
