Rev. CHARLES LESTER8 MAXFIELD was born at Hartland, Livingston County, Michigan, on 26 December 1872 a son of David Orso Maxfield and his wife Anna Elizabeth Mantle. He died at Raymond, Pacific County, Washington, on 17 February 1935. He married at Saint John's, Clinton County, Michigan, on 25 June 1900 FLORENCE MAY TEACHOUT. She was born at Saint John's on 15 May 1880 and died at Weston, Umatilla County, Oregon, on 24 May 1953.

Charles Lester Maxfield and his wife Florence May Teachout had the following children:

  1. ALICE EMILY9 MAXFIELD b. at Saint John's on 13 July 1901; d. on 21 November 1985; m. at Seattle, King Co., WA, on 9 May 1922 HALLAM C. SHORROCK.
  2. CHARLES TEACHOUT9 MAXFIELD b. at Jaro, Panay, Philippines, on 24 October 1906.
  3. PHILIP ROBERT9 MAXFIELD b. at Iloilo, Panay, on 11 January 1915.
  4. FLORENCE ANNA9 MAXFIELD b. at Seattle on 14 November 1918; d. at Weston on 7 May 2000; m. at Portland, Multnomah Co., OR, on 4 October 1942 HUGH P. GILLILAND.
