The 1930 Census reported George A. (age 66) and Ida E. (age 60) living at 119 Morning Street, Portland, with son Jerome C. Maxfield, age 20. George was a machinist at a saw mill. "Jerome C." in the 1930 census appears to be the same person as "Jessie C." in the 1920 Census and William Taft in the 1910 Census. As the Social Security Death Index refered to Jerome C. Maxfield, that is the probably correct name. Another entry in the 1930 Census (840:) listed Ida Maxfield, age 60, nurse for a private family, at Addison, Washington County, Maine, in the residence of Carrie Leavitt, 63, divorced, and boarder Ira S. Preble, 71, widower.
