Albert Maxfield married VINNIE ELLEN RICE at Fair Play, Polk County, Missouri, on 24 December 1911 (MO M). Vinnie was born at Missouri about 1888 (1920 census).

Albert Maxfield reported for the draft at Sherman, Jasper County, Iowa, on 5 June 1917 (WWI Draft):

Albert and Vinnie Maxfield were living at Missouri at the time of the births of their first four children, 1912 through 1916. They were at Iowa at the time of his draft registration in 1917, at Missouri again at the time of the 1920 census, and at Kansas for the births of children in 1922 and 1929 and the 1930 census.

The 1920 census (940:5B) reported this family at Madison Township, Polk County, Missouri. The family consisted of Albert, 30, wife Vinnie, 31, daughter Pauline 7, son Eldin, 5, son Kenton, 4 years and 6 months, and daughter Colleen, 3 years and 4 months. All were born in Missouri. Albert was a general farmer.
