WILLIAM WALLACE9 MAXFIELD (Adolphus8, William7, James6, William5, David4, Eliphalet3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Wisconsin on 22 August 1869 (Orange Gr Cem), a child of Adolphus F. Maxfield and his wife Eliza Ellen Houston. William grew up with his family in Indiana and probably moved with them to Louisiana between 1876 and 1880.

William Wallace Maxfield married STELLA DEE MOSS about 1894 (1900, 1910 censuses). Stella was born at Opelousas, Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana, on 2 April 1872 (Rose Hill Cem), a child of W. O. Moss and Elizabeth Lewis.
