ERNEST QUIMBY9 MAXFIELD (Ernest8, Moses7, James6, Eliphalet5-4-3, Nathaniel2, John1) was born at Pittsfield, Maine, on 22 June 1885 (VR Me D; SSDI; Ken Maxfield), a child of Ernest Maxfield and his wife Sarah Viola Stacy.

Ernest Q. Maxfield married LYDIA LESLIE HARVEY about 1903/4 (1910 census). Lydia was born at New Hampshire on 3 January 1887 (Ken Maxfield). They were divorced some time before the 1910 census. Lydia was reported in the 1910 census (860:3:122B) at 95 Church Street, Keene, New Hampshire, in the household of Ella M. Hill:

Lida had one child, who was living. Another entry in the same census (861:1:37B) is probably a duplicate record for these two persons. In a household on Homestead Avenue, Swanzey, New Hampshire, headed by Delia F. Harvey, 53, widow, we find her daughter, Ida L. Maxfield, 23, married, laundress, and Delia's grandson Kenneth H. Maxfield, age 4.

Ernest Q. Maxfield married as his second wife FLORENCE BEANE at Maine on 31 May 1913; they were both of Pittsfield (VR Me M; Ken Maxfield). Florence was born at Maine on 29 March 1891 (SSDI; Ken Maxfield). Lydia (Harvey) Maxfield married ROBERT HENRY WAIGHT, who was born on 1 March 1871 (SSDI; Ken Maxfield).

The 1920 census (648:7B) reported Ernest and Florence at 30 Mill Street, Pittsfield village, in the Town of Pittsfield, Maine:

Robert H. Waight died on 24 December 1958 (Ken Maxfield). Ernest Maxfield died at Rockland, Maine, on 10 March 1971, age 85 years (VR Me D; SSDI; Ken Maxfield). Florence "Flossie" Maxfield died at Rockland on 28 March 1985, age 93 years (VR Me D; SSDI; Ken Maxfield).

Ernest Quentin Maxfield and his first wife Lydia Harvey had the following child:
